c.FIRE — 2016

c.FIRE is an exploration of the facilitation of social interaction between people. Radial light, compared to directed light, has a natural allure in that it seems to bring attention to itself as opposed to the space it lights. The piece's goal is to take advantage of this property of radial light in order to encourage group activity aided by but not focused on the piece itself.

First iteration prototypes were created with 1/8" thick cardboard, while the final piece was laser-cut out of 1/4" masonite, framed around an IKEA incandescent light bulb
